Our Story
Rafter P Ranch started as a dream that came to life after many tremendous challenges. After working on ranches and with horse trainers of many different calibers I was faced with the decision to stay stuck or go off on my own and start achieving something I have always dreamed of. With little money and little status I purchased a colt and started training him on property I was generously granted use of. After multiple destroyed round pens, long days and late night, aspiration, hope, and support, things slowly started to come together.
What do We do?
Rafter P Ranch specializes in starting your young horse to be well versed in everything from trail riding to heavy ranch work. Through detailed ground work miles in the saddle, riding on trails, and working cattle, we use a mix of modern horsemanship and the gritty old school cowboy way to ensure your horse is suited for any task. Rafter P Ranch also offers finished ranch working horses as well as prospects for purchase from our remuda.
